5-17-05 John McCains lies and exaggerations concerning the filibuster

I have requested that the news media please report on the lies that John McCain is spreading.

The entire Senate (Democrats & Republicans) allowed over 200 of Bush’s judges to be nominated; they only used the Filibuster on 10.

The Democrats are not abusing any process; they are not filibustering “so many” of Bush’s nominees… only 10 out of 200.

The Republican’s had absolutely no issue what so ever utilizing the filibuster when they were the minority party.

The Filibuster is part of checks & balances, it insures the minority party can not be bullied by the majority party. In addition, 60 yea votes would break a filibuster so, the majority party has power as well. This is basic checks and balances.

I truly wish the press core would take off the gloves and start reporting on this blatant hypocrisy and lies.
